Metall Zug Group enlarges Board of Directors

Zug, March 28, 2019 – The Board of Directors of Metall Zug AG will propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders on May 3, 2019, that Sandra Emme, Claudia Pletscher and Dominik Berchtold be elected as new Board members. All of the current members of the Board of Directors of Metall Zug AG will be put forward for re-election.
 

The Board of Directors of Metall Zug AG will propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders on May 3, 2019, that Sandra Emme, Claudia Pletscher and Dominik Berchtold be elected as new Board members.

 

Sandra Emme (47) currently works at Google Switzerland as Industry Head Luxury and Finance in the Global Business Development unit. She is also a lecturer in leading digital business transformation at IMD Business School in Lausanne. She holds a Master of Arts in Business and International Management from Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

 

Claudia Pletscher (45) is Head of Development and Innovation and a member of the extended Executive Management Board of Swiss Post Ltd. She holds a Master degree in law from the University of Bern and Poitiers, as well as an MBA from Henley Business School (UK). She is in the executive committee of digital organizations and a member of the board of director as well as co-founder of the company SwissSign Group.

 

Dominik Berchtold (47) is CEO of ViAir and expands the air quality and ventilation business for the Viessmann Group. He holds a Master degree in business management from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. From 2014 to 2018 he was CEO of the heating and ventilation manufacturer Zehnder Group.

 

These proposals are intended to ensure a smooth handover, as the term limits set down in the Articles of Association mean that Marga Gyger will be standing for the final re-election. In addition, this move should also strengthen the Board of Directors as it prepares to face the upcoming transformation phase. All of the current members of the Board of Directors of Metall Zug AG will be put forward for re-election.
